GMCVO has received planning approval to build a £2 million extension to the St Thomas Centre.
Our proposals aim to meet the demand for office and conference space and generate income to contribute to future sustainability. The three-storey extension will provide two additional meeting rooms accommodating about 80 people and office space accommodating 40 to 50 people (see attached 3-D image). The new entrance, foyer and reception will also improve access to the existing building and enable us to remodel and improve existing facilities.
More strategic sub-regional organisations will be encouraged to share office space in the extended building, and we aim to provide managed workspace for social enterprises and increase the number of activities/events open to third sector organisations.
GMCVO now has the small task of securing nearly £2 million!
