Calling time on doorstep crime
A new website to help community groups and members of the public tackle doorstep crime has been launched by the Greater Manchester Police Authority.
The resource has been developed as part of the Knock Knock project, a partnership initiative involving local authorities in Greater Manchester, Trading Standards, United Utilities, Age UK and the GMPA.
The website offers tips, useful videos and local contact numbers to help beat distraction burglary, bogus officials and rogue traders. It also features an interactive quiz, downloadable leaflets and a printable window sign.
