COMMISSIONING FOR HOMELESS OFFENDER PROJECTS
On 19 October 2010 at the Homeless Link Conference, Housing Minister Grant Shapps announced a programme of investment in new community based services to help single homeless people find and sustain good quality accommodation in the private rented sector (PRS). This programme of investment, backed by DCLG funding, will be managed by Crisis under the title Crisis PRS Access Development Programme. Crisis are inviting bids from VCS organisations for funding to establish or develop projects at local authority level to assist the homeless to access sustainable private rented sector(PRS) accommodation. Offenders are considered a key group requiring assistance in accessing the PRS. £40,000 is available per project.
Bids must be submitted by the end of December but draft bids submitted by 6th December can benefit from advice from Crisis, who is administering the grants on behalf of DCLG. £40,000 is available per project.
