'Delivering Better Transport' seminar series starts Wednesday 5th October

The 2011/12 series kicks off this Wednesday 5th of October, 17:30 in the Samuel Alexander building of the University off Oxford Road.

GMCVO works with the University, the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and Transport for Greater Manchester to deliver a programme of seminars debating the transport issues of the day. 

The first seminar explores the challenges facing Local Authorities around maintaining an effective highway network in times of austerity. 

Later topics include the Competition Commission's local bus services market investigation, the plans for the Northern Rail Hub, and transport's role around supporting local economic development.
