Map of voluntary sector funding cuts

An online map showing the extent of the public sector funding cuts to the voluntary sector has been set up.
Launched by NCVO and the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations, the Voluntary Sector Cuts website allows organisations to enter details of their cuts on a spreadsheet that is available to the public.
Sir Stuart Etherington, chief executive of NCVO, said: "This project will capture powerful data about where cuts are being made disproportionately and who is being hit the hardest. We urge any organisations affected by cuts to share their stories on the site; together we can send a strong message to government about the scale of the challenges ahead for the sector."
To date (April 2011), the site has recorded over 450 cuts amounting to nearly £75 million.
Visitors to the site can view an interactive map showing where the cuts have taken place and how much they are worth.
