Community design toolkit and workshop
Building Success is a free self-assessment toolkit for the development of community design/capital projects. Produced by GMCVO’s Community Hubs team, it is aimed at voluntary and community sector groups and people involved in the development of community building and landscape projects, and enables them to rate their progress. The report generated and information sheets should help to reduce the risks associated with capital projects.
The toolkit is based on 10 critical success factors, central to capital projects. These are:
• a clear vision • a project that addresses a real need • sufficient local support • a committed group • good communication and teamworking • appropriate professional support • good project management • sufficient resources • opportunities to learn • for the project to be sustainable.
