Future of transport governance
A framework and timetable for a review of transport governance in Greater Manchester are proposed in a consultation document published at the end of July.
Prepared by the Association of Greater Manchester Authorities and the Greater Manchester Integrated Transport Authority, the document sets out the results of preliminary work on current structures and potential options for future arrangements. It also takes into account the wider governance reforms being pursued by AGMA, the findings of the Manchester Independent Economic Review and the provisions of the Local Democracy Bill.
The consultation document is the first of a four-stage process of review of transport governance arrangements in the city-region.
Consultation End Date: 30th September 2009
