Equality Act guidance

A series of guides to the Equality Act has been produced by the Government Equalities Office in partnership with Citizens Advice and other bodies.
The guides set out clearly what the new laws will mean for business, the public sector, the voluntary sector and the public, helping people understand their new responsibilities and rights when providing goods, facilities or services. An ACAS ‘quick start’ guide for employers is included as well as a number of summary guides for voluntary and community organisations.
The Act starts to come into force from 1st October 2010.
