Trustee recruitment guide
An updated guide to the recruitment, appointment and induction of charity trustees has been published by the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA).
The publication is intended to provide charity governors with best practice guidelines on recruiting the most suitable trustees and how to support their development.
The guide, the previous version of which was released in the late 1990s, now includes a specimen skills audit and a refreshed terms of reference for the nominations committee. A major area of revision was the creation of a new section on the recruitment of trustees.
A copy of Recruitment, Appointment and Induction of Charity Trustees can be obtained for £15 from the ICSA Information Centre on 020 7612 7035 or by e-mailing informationcentre@icsa.co.uk
