TSRC has conducted a two year research project looking at the role and impact of the third sector in the criminal justice system.
Reducing Re-Offending Network
The Reducing Re-Offending Network aims to work with our statutory partners such as Association of Greater Manchester Authorities, Greater Manchester Police, Greater Manchester Probation Trust, the National Offender Management Service and the Ministry of Justice to create opportunities for the local voluntary and community sector (VCS) in delivering services to reduce offending in Greater Manchester.
As part of the Transforming Justice agenda, GMCVO is leading on the 'Point of Release Strategy' on which we will seek to consult the VCS in Greater Manchester as it is developed. In the coming weeks we will also be contacting organisations to discuss carrying out a mapping exercise, which will contribute to a directory similar to the voluntary sector health services directory, which can be seen by clicking on the following link: http://www.voluntarysectorhealth.org.uk/.
