Transport Resource Unit work programme 2010/11

The Unit's work programme for 2010/11 has been approved by GMITA.  Some headline projects include:

The Transport Resource Unit is still working to replace Melanie Jeffs, who left us in July - but its work still continues.

This is the last TRU newsletter from me as I'll be leaving TRU in a few days to take up a new post at Nottingham CVS.

It's been another busy few weeks for us here at TRU. We've just launched our research into the experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender public transport users.

The Transport Resource Unit has had a very busy few weeks since the approval of the GMITA grant at the beginning of March.

TRU has been given the opportunity to contribute to a forthcoming review of flexible transport, initiated by GMITA.

The Transport Resource Unit grant and work programme was last week approved by GMITA (formerly GMPTA).

With financial pressures from all angles, GMPTA has taken the decision to increase the concessionary fare by another 10p, to 80p (in 2007 it was increased from 50p to 70p).
