Transforming Justice – presentations from GMCVO event
An overview of the Greater Manchester ‘Transforming Justice’ agenda was provided at a GMCVO event held on 9th December.
‘Transforming Justice’ is a Ministry of Justice programme which aims to reduce crime, re-offending, and the number of victims through diverting offenders and potential offenders away from the criminal justice system where appropriate and by more effectively rehabilitating those already sentenced.
The event explored how specialist organisations with expertise of working in these areas, can contribute towards a voluntary sector offer in reducing offending and diverting offenders and potential offenders away from the criminal justice system.
It also provided an opportunity for voluntary sector organisations working with offenders/ex-offenders in Greater Manchester to meet and network with statutory partners leading on a range of strategic themes under the ‘Transforming Justice’ agenda.
Presentations from the speakers are attached.
