Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisation

A celebration of innovation

In January 2018. GMCVO, on behalf of the Greater Manchester VCSE Devolution Reference Group launched a project to identify innovative projects being delivered by VCSE organisations working in health and social care.

The project attracted a great deal of interest from VCSE organisations across GM. 64 entries were received from which 13 organisations were selected as winners and runners up of the 6 thematic award categories and were presented with their prizes at an engagement event held on Wednesday 14th March 2018 at the St Thomas Centre.

The receipients of the awards are as follows: 


Winner - Wraparound Partnership – Making Sense of Special Needs

Runner up - Unlimited Potential – Dadly Does It 


Winner - First Step Trust – SMaRT Garage Services Salford 

Runner up - Future Directions – The SPICE Group 


Winner - Unlimited Potential– Time to Connect 

Runner Up  - Bolton Mutual Aid Centre - Forget-Me-Not

Runner Up - Creative Living Centre - Saturday Night Group


Winner - H3 (Helping the Homeless into Housing) Hospital Discharge and Health Management Support Service

Runner up - Bolton Community Kitchen Feeding the homeless, elderly and vulnerable


Winner - Speakeasy 

Runner up - LGBT Foundation– Trans Voice Coaching 


Winner - Communities for All Limited – C4all Activities 

Runner up - Give2Gain CIC Community Participation in the creation of a sharing community for good health - Stockport

We would like to extend our congratulations to all of the prize winners listed above as well as thanking the many organisations who supported this initiative and submitted entries thereby allowing us to learn about the valuable work they are delivering to communities in Greater Manchester.
