The BAME social enterprise network is pleased to provide an online space for BAME social entrepreneurs to hear from from a variety of organisations about partnership working, funding opportunities and having a say across Greater Manchester.
At this meeting, Mel from Yaran Northwest CIC will share her experience of being in a partnership with other BAME organisations. Atiha Chaudry, Chair of the Greater Manchester BAME network will share more information about the Emergency Grants for BAME communities. We will also have Anne Woolhouse from Resonance who will talk about the Social Enterprise Support Fund that is being delivered by a consortium of Resonance, Big Issue Invest, UnLtd, the School for Social Entrepreneurs and The Key Fund, with funding coming from The National Lottery Community Fund. Grant funding will be for social enterprises negatively impacted by COVID-19 that are supporting people at high health risk from COVID-19, and those supporting people facing increased social and economic challenges as a result of COVID-19.
Marilyn Comrie from Black United Representation Network will also speak about the work they are doing and finally Beth Sharratt from GMCVO will speak briefly and answer any questions on having your say within the VCSE sector.
We welcome all budding and current BAME social entrepreneurs. Any BAME individual or BAME-led organisation is also welcome if you wish to know more about social investment and/or social enterprise.
