The event will also increase our connectivity across Accord Partners, public sector, VCSE leadership, EDI officers and Equality Panels to explore opportunities for collaboration/joint-working

Greater Manchester Equality Alliance (GM=EqAl) are very pleased to invite you to our annual showcase, a celebration of the contributions of our members and an exploration into the impact our work has in addressing entrenched inequalities of power, resource, health and opportunity in Greater Manchester.

Background to GM=EqAl:
Greater Manchester Equality Alliance (GM=EqAl) is a coalition of individuals drawn from a wide range of communities of experience and Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations across Greater Manchester. We work in alliance with VCSE, public and private sector individuals and organisations, connecting communities to policy makers, and vice versa, to assist with strategic equality and diversity work in GM. We take a pan-equalities approach, focusing on the intersections between different forms of inequality, channelling multiple perspectives and developing solutions through dialogue. GM=EqAl is a key partner in the VCSE Accord, and we work alongside partners to co-deliver the Accord Implementation Plan.

Our aims:
1) To ensure equality, diversity and inclusion are at the forefront of decision making at the highest levels in all governance structures across the Greater Manchester sub-region.
2) To ensure transformational change in the way that issues are considered, information collected and acted upon, and to be led by the expertise coming from communities and grassroots organisations.

The event will be held on 20th March 2024 13:30-15:30 at St Thomas Centre (Ardwick Green North, Manchester, M12 6FZ).
