Research Focus Group - how VCSE organisations involve service users in the co-design, planning, delivery and evaluation of their services

Registration is closed for this event

GMCVO is currently exploring an idea for a research project about value co-creation in the VCSE. This will be a research study in collaboration with an academic from MMU Business School that will look at how VCSE organisations involve service users in the design, planning, delivery and evaluation of their services. We think that the findings from such a study could be useful to inform the wider VCSE and policy makers, as well as to showcase good practice.

Before we embark on obtaining funding for the study itself, we are trying to get VCSE views on the general idea and are holding a focus group for that aim after the GM VCSE "Introduction to Co-Production" workshop event on the 9th August 2018.

The focus group aims to understand and share views about how best to design a study that can capture good practice in terms of service user value co-creation in VCSE organisations.  The focus group will last for 1 hour.  There will be some structured questions that are asked about research design and engagement with the sector, and there will also be opportunity for wider discussion and views about the feasibility and value of the study, and how data may be collected.  Two researchers are involved in the study: Susanne Martikke at GMCVO and Professor Claire Hannibal at Manchester Metropolitan University. The results of the focus group will be used to bid for funding to allow Susanne and Claire to carry out the proposed research.

Book your place to attend this Focus Group using the 'Register Now' button on this page. Please note, places on this Research Focus Group are limited therefore a wait list will be offered once all places are taken.
