GM Co-production Network goes virtual - Session 2

This session will bring together co-production practitioners from VCSE and statutory sectors to share practical ideas and challenges around inclusion and diversity in co-production.

THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED. Please e-mail kat.rado-barnes@gmcvo.org.uk if you wish to attend and wish to be contacted should a place become available.

The impact of coronavirus has made inequalities more visible than ever, but these inequalities aren’t new. Building a fairer society will require radically new approaches to address entrenched structural inequality and oppression.

Co-production has the potential to centre the voices of marginalised communities in decision making. But without proactive work to build trust and engage people who are seldom heard, there is a risk that co-production can actually reproduce existing power dynamics and inequalities.

This session will bring together co-production practitioners from VCSE and statutory sectors to share practical ideas and challenges around inclusion and diversity in co-production.

The workshop will be facilitated by Mark Nesbitt, director of The Urban Fitness Collective

The session will run from 10.30-11.30, followed by a virtual 30 minute coffee break to give us a chance to meet and chat.
