Our social infrastructure - the shared spaces and public places that form a part of our everyday lives - are often overlooked, yet are a crucial part of both the physical and social fabric of our communities.
This briefing, led by Dr Sophie Yarker, University of Manchester, poses the question of how a variety of social infrastructure can benefit communities’ members as well as discussing how better utilising these spaces can bring major benefits to local communities.
The briefing will be your opportunity to:
- Learn about the most recent thinking around social infrastructure and the direct role it plays in supporting community action
- Discuss how social infrastructure is important to the projects you fund or deliver, and the communities you work with and support
