Ambition for Ageing - Scaled Programme Information Event for Potential Bidders

We are looking for providers to deliver support for carers over 50 seeking employment in Bolton, Salford and Wigan. This event is for organisations interested in bidding for this work. It will provide an opportunity to find out more information and ask questions.

The details are as follows:

Scaled Programme 4 – Working Potential

• An action research project supporting people over 50 who are currently caring and not in work and would like to explore employment opportunities.
• There is a recognition that with changing labour markets and the need to extend working lives that many people may need to make changes to their work as they age and may need support in adapting to new roles.
• We recognise that there is a shortage of successful approaches in supporting carers over 50 into employment. We are looking to work with partners with the ability to engage this group of people and work with them to explore and develop new approaches.
• We are looking for providers with local links and reach into communities to find out how best to support carers into employment. We are interested in finding out the journey that carers undertake on their way to employment and the barriers and challenges that they face.
•  Contract Value – £420,000 (£140,000 for each target area)

The session will feature a short presentation, followed by plenty of time for questions and networking. Refreshments will be available throughout the event.
