Interested in joining the new Social Enterprise Advisory Panel for Greater Manchester?
GM Combined Authority is calling upon Greater Manchester social enterprise leaders to apply to join an exciting new initiative to help drive foward an ambitious agenda for socal enterprise throughout the city-region.
The Social Enterprise Advisory Group, made up of social enterprise leaders from across the sector, will advise the Mayor, GMCA leaders and the GM Local Enterprise Partnership by identifying and offering recommendations on the actions needed to help the sector thrive.

Climate Action Fund application phase (National Lottery Community Fund)

The Climate Action Fund will support communities across the UK to take action on climate change. These communities will demonstrate what is possible when people take the lead in tackling climate change. With National Lottery funding, they will work together, share their learning and be active participants in a broader movement of change.

GMCVO have launched a grants programme to get Greater Manchester Walking. Between now and August 2020, a total of £225,000 will be awarded to voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations who have an idea to get more people in Greater Manchester walking more.

Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Peer Support Small Grant Fund (10GM)

Voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) groups and organisations in each of the local authority areas of Greater Manchester are being sought to provide peer support opportunities for parents, carers and families of children with suspected or diagnosed Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).

Comic Relief Community Fund (Comic Relief & Groundwork)

The Comic Relief Community Fund is offering grants to grassroots community organisations with an income of less than £250,000. Grants are awarded to projects whose work delivers on one of Comic Relief's four strategic themes: Children Survive & Thrive, Fighting for Gender Justice, A Safe Place to Be and Mental Health Matters.

Rural Development Programme for England

£35 million has been made available to boost productivity and create local jobs in rural areas. Businesses can apply for grants under three themes – Business Development, Tourism Infrastructure and Food Processing. All the details can be found on the website. To check if your business is within a rural area please visit DEFRA interactive website where you will be able to check postcode eligibility. A Map of rural GM can also be found here.

Doing buses differently – Consultation on a Proposed Franchising Scheme for Greater Manchester (GM Combined Authority)

Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) is proposing a bus franchising scheme for the whole of Greater Manchester. GMCA wants to hear your views as part of their public consultation. It doesn’t matter if you’re a regular bus passenger or rarely use the buses, everyone’s views are important and will inform a future decision on how your buses are run.

Third Sector Trends in the North of England (2019) Live Survey

This is a long-term study in the North of England on voluntary and community organisations, social enterprises, cooperatives, community businesses and informal clubs, groups and societies (the 'third sector') which started in 2010 and runs right across the North of England. Whether your organisation or group is big or small, flourishing or struggling financially - or just carrying on more or less as normal - they need to hear from you.
