Vesta in partnership with Europia offer specialist support to Polish victims / survivors of domestic abuse in Manchester to ensure that they are safe in their homes. It is offered to men and women.

The services are free of charge and available for the Polish community in Manchester City.

 They offer:

• Information, advice and support in accessing local domestic abuse services
• Welfare & housing advice and support
• Face-to-face consultations
• Online support group for women
• Counselling
• Emergency funding for accommodation related needs

There are currently 306 confirmed ‘Warm Spaces’ in GM - free to access spaces where residents can be assured of finding a safe, warm, inclusive, and friendly environment in which to enjoy refreshments, social activity, information and advice, the company of other people and stay healthy and well as we head into winter. Partners are encouraged to sign up to the National Map, and local authority links are below (Salford has instead set up free activities in their gateway centres).

SharpFutures are offering tours to young people. SharpFutures is a Social Enterprise supporting young diverse talent into employment within the Creative Digital & T.V Production sectors.

This online course, running over four sessions between February and March, is an exploration of how we are vital to creating a world in which all people really do matter.

The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Research Unit (EDI-RU), a collaboration between Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) NHS Foundation Trust and the University of Manchester, is implementing this project. They aim to improve research staff’s cultural awareness and confidence in engagement and recruitment across different ethnic groups, and build skills of community research champions to engage effectively in the community.

This survey seeks to add to Ubele's existing data-base and knowledge of the community assets that are owned (or managed) by Black and racially minoritised communities in the UK. They want to hear from those who had contributed to the earlier 2014 survey alongside organisations who did not contributed then and those new to the scene.

GMCVO are seeking individuals with reach into communities to take part in a short course to become community trainers to deliver ‘Living Life to the Full’ or ‘Reclaim your Life’.

The Synergi Small Grants Fund will be opening on the 4th January 2023. It offers grants of £2,000 to £3,000 to groups led by Black people and people of colour with lived experience of mental ill-health, distress or trauma, to take action on mental health and racial justice.

The evening will be hosted by members of the local klezmer community. For the last decade or so, in and around Manchester, Hard Times Kapelye and Judith Plowman & Adrian Dobson have been leading klezmer performance and dance respectively.

All monies made from the event will go to the Disaster Emergency Committee.
