Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisation

Employer Skills Group

The inaugural meeting of the Greater Manchester Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Employer Skills Group (ESG) was held at the King's House Conference Centre in Manchester on 25th February 2015.

The ESG is a first for Greater Manchester, bringing together a group of VCSE employers who are broadly representative of the sector. The purpose of the ESG is to provide a platform for employers to give their perspective on current and future skills needs in the sector and their training provision requirements.

It is intended that the ESG be a voice for the sector's employers towards ensuring VCSE organisations in Greater Manchester have better access to increased skills and training opportunities relevant to their employees. Initially, a series of monthly meetings are planned to establish the group in earnest.
