Greater Manchester European Funding Programme 2014-2020

The European Structural and Investment Fund (ESIF) 2014-2020 programme is made up of the  European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and European Social Fund (ESF) to bring about 'smart, sustainable and inclusive growth' in England.

The programme will fund innovative work to: develop skills, employment and inclusion; support public sector reform; strengthen the low carbon; science, innovation and knowledge economy; create competitive places; and competitive business (including social enterprise).

The voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector has been recognised in European regulations as a key stakeholder to achieve these aims as part of the ESIF 2014-2020 programme.
