11:00 - 12:30
During this session you will be shown promotional materials for Southway Housing’s Community Navigators service and asked to share your feedback. We will also ask for your views on an upcoming event in Manchester's Gay Village.
The Community Navigators service is focussed on men who are over 65 and isolated from local services, support networks and their community. It aims, by way of trained volunteers, to discover the needs of individuals and put them in touch with local support such as community or social groups. It encourages and supports older men to meet likeminded people, become more active, revisit old hobbies, volunteer, or learn new skills.
If you are a gay or bisexual man, trans man, gender-fluid person, or non-binary person who identifies with gay or bi men some or all of the time then this event is for you! This event is designed for those aged 65 and over, and living in Greater Manchester, but due to popular demand we will now accept bookings from those who are approaching 65 (late fifties upwards). The focus group will last one hour in an accessible city centre location, with lunch provided after the session at 12pm. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any further questions, or ring 07541977854.
Who is the event for:
gay or bisexual man, trans man, gender-fluid person, or non-binary person who identifies with gay or bi men some or all of the time and aged late 50s upwards.
