What can we learn from the explosion of mutual aid groups during COVID-19? Let's share our stories - good and bad - and support each other.
The purpose of this event is to discuss mutual aid groups in Greater Manchester: those informal groups of local people that have come together to support each other during the COVID-19 outbreak.
At the event, we want to hear what groups are experiencing, hear what support groups would like, share learning and hear about what has and has not worked with mutual aid. We will also be discussing specific topics such as how mutual aid groups have provided food support in Greater Manchester.
This event is being co-designed with mutual aid groups. If you are part of a mutual aid group in Greater Manchester and would like to help design the event, or have a particular topic you would like to discuss, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Who is the event for:
We want to bring a broad range of people together. You could be from a mutual aid group, the public sector or a charity, for example. So, come along if you are part of mutual aid groups, working with or alongside mutual aid groups, or just interested in this idea of mutual aid!
