11:00 - 12:00
Older people and services provided to them have been amongst the most affected during Covid 19.
We have consulted with previous attendees of this forum in order to shape the content of this session.
The focus of this session will be the further development of befriending services and peer support provision for older people and carers of older people.
The colder months of the year can be particularly isolating for a lot of older people. Services are striving to support older people to make connections and to sustain them so that they can best combat social isolation during winter. We will be discussing this through the parameters of COVID 19 and the context of a potential new lockdown in winter.
This online forum will be delivered via Zoom and will be facilitated by the Tempo team and guest speaker(s). We will send you an email a day before the session with additional instructions.
What will you get from attending?
1. Shared learning, resources, signposting - to new, effective working practices in a Covid-19 world
2. Build thematic understanding and identify common challenges and needs
3. An opportunity to network with different agencies and sectors across England and Wales
4. Raise the profile of your work with minimal time and no cost or travel!
This session is part of our delivery of a series of forums, delivered in response to demand. Attendees have shared learning resources and fostered new connections. We'd love you to be part of it.
