Greater Manchester VCSE Assembly: Equalities and Health Part Two

Further to the Equalities and Health Assembly event held on the 8th November 2017 and the subsequent Equalities and Health Co-design event on 4th December 2017, this Assembly will cover the following:

  • A reminder of the 'journey' and methodologies used to date by the Greater Manchester VCSE sector in relation to the Equalities and Health Agenda in Greater Manchester.
  • Deliver a 'snap shot' of the key issues that emerged from the co-design sessions held with representatives from GM VCSE Equalities organisations and a joint stakeholder event with Greater Manchester Health & Social Care & VCSE colleagues in the latter part of 2017.
  • The presentation of a proposed Action Plan to delegates which will give a sense of 'what’s to come next' in relation to the Equalities and Health Agenda in GM as well as outlining the opportunities available to the Greater Manchester VCSE sector to support and become engaged with ongoing work to address inequalities in health and social care.

Whilst this Assembly will be of interest to delegates who attended either of the previous Equalities events held in 2017, this event is also open to all VCSE organisations across Greater Manchester, particularly those who work with and represent people from demographic groups who are disproportionately affected by health inequalities e.g. disabled people, refugees and asylum seekers.
