Bowel cancer is currently the fourth most common cancer in England and the second biggest cancer killer. Over 34,000 people in England are diagnosed with bowel cancer each year, and over 13,500 people die annually from the disease.
However, it doesn’t have to be this way, as bowel cancer is treatable and curable, especially when caught early. That’s why Bowel Cancer UK are dedicated to raising awareness through their free, volunteer-led awareness programme, delivering 30 minute virtual presentations that cover the signs and symptoms associated with bowel cancer, the risk factors associated with bowel cancer and information about the NHS bowel screening programme.
