Shared Future CIC are trying to find better ways to provide Care at Home, that works on an emotional, person centred and practical level. They are therefore seeking to engage with those who have experience of delivering care and support for others at home, particularly for the elderly, to join a ‘Care and Home Inquiry’.This inquiry will take a broad interpretation of ‘Care at Home’, recognising the wide range of services and networks of support that play a role in this.
Shared Futures CIC are therefore looking for a diverse group of people as possible who have experience of delivering ‘Care at Home’ or who work in a health and social care specialism as well as those who have first-hand experience of the care system to meet as equals over the six evening inquiry sessions. These sessions will produce recommendations that could make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable older people, their families and the work of public bodies.
The team behind this initiative are also looking for commissioners, leaders from the public, private and VCSE sectors and public health academics to support the Inquiry Oversight Panel.
