Grants in the range of £1,000 to £3,000 are available from the Peter Kershaw Trust to registered social welfare charities working in Greater Manchester for the benefit of disadvantaged people. These grants are made for a wide variety of purposes under the general heading of "social welfare", for example to assist people with medical conditions, disabilities, addiction, to help elderly people, youth work etc. Applications for new work are welcome and the Trustees give special consideration for "pump priming" requests (i.e. the stimulation of economic activity by investment).
