Delivery of GMCVO-led programme Ambition for Ageing, a 7-year programme which aimed to create more age-friendly places and empower older people across Greater Manchester, will end on Thursday 31st March 2022.
We are, however, excited to announce that we have received funding from the National Lottery Community Fund to share our learning and good practice developed over the course of Ambition for Ageing for a further 12 months.
As part of Ambition for Ageing’s legacy, the Good Practice Mentors Scheme will see the programme’s learning and good practice continue to be embedded. The funding will allow us to:
-
share the recommendations from our final reports, launched in March 2022 - Supporting Ageing in Place: A Process Evaluation of Ambition for Ageing's microfunding programme and It’s About People, Not Just Place.
-
continue to work closely with the GM Ageing Hub (GMCA)
-
build on our relationship with the GM Older People’s Network
-
support peer learning and networking at a local level
-
ensure our learning on delivering inclusive funding is shared with funders and commissioners, locally and nationally
We will also continue to work with other Ageing Better partners to embed our learning at a national level.
