GMCVO is collating intelligence about the Greater Manchester VCSE sector response to the crisis, what is happening to the sector and to the communities it connects into, in order to inform local and national policy and activity. We are also logging issues, concerns and queries and campaigning to ensure the needs of VCSE organisations are considered:- both as businesses and employers, and as essential providers of help to people and communities.
Information is being passed directly to:
-
Greater Manchester public sector (GMCA & GM H&SC Partnership)
-
The GM Economic Resilience Group (which includes business infrastructure) and other GM meetings
-
Contact in Department of Culture, Media and Sport, who is ensuring VCSE concerns are fed into government decisions
-
Our national VCSE infrastructure: NCVO, NAVCA, SEUK, Voice 4 Change England and others
We are also publishing our updates below for reference.
To co-ordinate our response as Greater Manchester infrastructure, we are collaborating with:
-
10GM & local VCSE infrastructure organisations (listed here)
-
GMBAME Network and GMBAME Leaders Group
-
GMSEN
John Hannen is acting as the link person between public and VCSE sectors at GM level, and is supported by a small team of people.
We are also publishing guidance, support and resources for VCSE organisations here.
