GMCVO is currently seeking proposals from providers to deliver the GM’s Hidden Talent programme in Bury and Wigan.
ABOUT GM’S HIDDEN TALENT
Greater Manchester’s Hidden Talent is co-funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA). The programme is led by Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisation (GMCVO).
Hidden Talent works exclusively with hidden young people. These are young people who are not employed, not in education or training, and not claiming the benefits to which they are entitled.
The two-year programme (March 2019 – March 2021) will provide holistic key worker support to hidden young people, helping them progress towards employment whilst improving their self-esteem, confidence and wellbeing. It will also work with employers to help them understand the barriers faced by young people and how to attract, retain and develop young talent.
Funding from the National Lottery Community Fund focuses on supporting young people in Bolton, Manchester and Salford, whilst the financing from GMCA enables support to be delivered across the rest of Greater Manchester.
