Manchester International Festival looking for VCSE organisations to collaborate with new ‘Social Content Creators Course’

The Factory Academy’s Social Content Creators Course is an 8 weeklong industry focussed programme where students will receive expert training in social content creation skills. Whilst on the course, students will be partnered with a Manchester-based voluntary, community or social enterprise (VCSE) organisation; they will work collaboratively with their partner charity to create engaging social content that helps the charity with its social content needs.

Statistically, 90% of charities have less than £1,000 a year to use on marketing and social media. This programme wants to help address this issue by training up our students to be ‘Social Content Consultants’ who volunteer their time at Manchester-based VCSE organisation during their time on the course which will run from 6th June - 29th July.

So far, we will be partnering with Refugees & Mentors, Venture Arts, 0161 & Horsfall Gallery and are looking for more charities to get involved.

The commitment of our partner organisations is minimal, and we will be offering free access to the course for any employees at our partner organisations who would like to develop their own social content creation skills.

At the end of the course there will be a graduation event put on by The Factory Academy where students get to present their social content projects. All charities involved will be invited to attend the evening.

If you are a Manchester-based VCSE organisation who is interested in getting involved, please email kiran.sethi@mif.co.uk
