The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service: 2020 Awardees

The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS) is the highest award given to UK volunteer groups, being equivalent to the MBE. The prestigious award recognises exceptional work done by volunteer groups in their communities.

Coinciding with Volunteers' week, the Queen’s Award results for 2020 were announced on the 2nd June. Organisations were honoured for their outstanding contribution to society and also to recognise the crucial role many have played to support vulnerable people during the coronavirus pandemic.

Greater Manchester maintained its position as the UK's most successful County with 33 awardees (list attached below). Our congratulations to all.
