Representation Roles: new VCSE Representative positions available

We currently have the following opportunities to become a VCSE (Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise) sector representative on strategic Health and Social Care related governance boards

Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership Executive – 2 VCSE Representative positions available

The primary aim of the GM HSC Partnership Executive is the delivery of the ambition within the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Strategy: Taking Charge. It is the engine room of the GM Health and Social Care Partnership. It meets on a monthly basis and is where many of the key decisions and sign off on policies, strategies, action plans and budgets takes place.

The representatives from the VCSE sector will need to have a strong understanding of the GM Health and Social Care devolution agenda and the role VCSE organisations play within this. They will be a senior leader within the VCSE sector and be able to think beyond their own organisational interest. They will need to commit to attending monthly meetings and providing feedback from these.

PLEASE NOTE: the recruitment panel will be looking to appoint 2 representatives that reflect different elements of the VCSE sector across Greater Manchester (this could be providers, infrastructure, equalities etc)

Greater Manchester Health and Justice Board – 1 VCSE Representative position available

The vision for the Health and Justice Board is to provide strategic direction, governance and support for the needs of victims and offenders in Greater Manchester, within or on the edge of the criminal justice system at critical points, to achieve better health and justice outcomes. It aims to provide a Greater Manchester wide strategic forum that brings together the health and justice agendas and identifies areas for joint working.

The representative from the VCSE will need to be a senior leader from the VCSE sector with a knowledge and an active interest in work around both Health and Justice. They will have an understanding about the role of the VCSE sector within the Health and Justice agenda within GM and be able to think beyond their own organisational interests. They will need to commit to attending quarterly meetings and providing feedback from these.

Each representative will:
- Receive support from GMCVO and the GM VCSE Devolution Reference Group to perform the role effectively, including training where required
- Receive payment of £150 to your organisation per half day meeting attended
