Roadmap out of Lockdown – Travel Advice

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) has a helpful page on their website giving travel information and advice now that we have begun the government’s four-step ‘roadmap’ for cautiously easing England's coronavirus restrictions.

In summary the travel advice is currently:

  • You should help keep yourself and everyone safe by minimising the number of journeys you make and combining trips if possible.

  • You should continue to work from home if you can.

  • If you’re travelling, plan ahead, allow extra time for your journeys and avoid the busiest times and routes if possible.

  • You should consider walking or cycling, particularly for short trips.

  • You should avoid car sharing with anyone from outside your household or support bubble.

If you’re clinically extremely vulnerable, please check the latest government guidance.

If you need extra consideration when travelling on public transport, you may want to consider the please offer me a seat badge and Hidden Disabilities Sunflower lanyard schemes.

If you are a concessionary travel pass holder whose pass has expired or is due to, the deadline for renewing has been extended until Monday 21st June.

There will be more travel updates issued as restrictions are eased further to keep you up to date, so please keep checking the page for the latest advice.
