Social Enterprise Day 2024 is on Thursday 21st November and is a great opportunity to help raise awareness and understanding of social enterprises as well as celebrate your social enterprise and the way you are making a difference.
GMCVO with funding from GMCA are supporting social enterprise organisations across Greater Manchester to host events within the week around Social Enterprise Day by funding all or part of the cost. There is a total of £5,000 funding available with organisations able to apply for up to £300. We hope to fund approximately 15-20 organisation to host events which would showcase and celebrate the work you do, or raise awareness on how to grow social enterprises.
How to get involved
We invite you to host an event to showcase and celebrate your Social Enterprise activity or an event/ workshop to help raise awareness on how others can grow their social enterprises over the week of Monday 18th November to Sunday 24th November 2024.
How we will support you
We can offer funding up to £300 for you to host an event or workshop that will showcase what you do, celebrate what you do or share your approach on how to grow and collaborate. The funding can be used for things like venue hire, refreshments, volunteer expenses, materials and/or staff time. We will also help promote your event or workshop through our dedicated Social Enterprise Day communications.
Eligibility

You must be based within Greater Manchester

You must be a social enterprise, co-operative, trading charity or community business

The activity must be held during the week of Social Enterprise Day; Monday 18th November to Sunday 24th November 2024

You must be able to provide the date and time of your event either at the application stage or a timely later date for this event to be included within the schedule of activity for the week
In return we will require some basic post event information such as: how many attended, what you learnt from the event, a couple of photos and quotes from attendees and organisers.
Deadline for applications is Tuesday 15th October 2024. Decisions will be made by Monday 21st October.
