Support to help connect health communities

A new initiative: Connecting Health Communities 2021-2022 has been launched by the Institute for Voluntary Action Research (IVAR). This is an 18-month facilitation support package to enable cross-sector partnerships to address health inequalities in Integrated Care Systems and Primary Care Networks.

IVAR are inviting applications from cross-sector groups who are interested in facilitation support, to kick-start or sustain partnerships that deliver improved health outcomes for vulnerable groups, reducing the health inequalities they face.

They would like to work with groups across England and at different stages of their partnership journeys, but are particularly interested in applications from the North West, North East and Yorkshire and the Humber.

IVAR will initially select four areas to work with from July 2021 to December 2022. They will also provide six one-off facilitated workshops each year of this three-year initiative, so if you are unsuccessful for the full 18-months of support they may contact you about this lighter-touch offer.

More information on the initiative is attached below. To find out more about this opportunity or book a time slot to speak to a member of the team please email or call Sonakshi Anand at Institute of Voluntary Action Research (IVAR): /07464548859.

To apply, please complete the simple, one-page Expression of Interest form online, or in the attached document below by 5pm on 18th June 2021.

Through this work, IVAR aim to reach communities and remove traditional obstacles to participation. Hence, if the EOI form is a barrier in any way, please do contact IVAR directly.
