In June, the Government announced that the Home Office had secured additional, one-off emergency support funding for small and micro charities that are working in marginalised communities with vulnerable young people at risk of being involved in serious violence.
The Greater Manchester Violence Reduction Unit had been provided funding to allocate grants to Greater Manchester’s small and micro charities (defined as those having an income less than £100,000 per annum).
The offer of this emergency funding is only for activity delivered between 01 April 2020 and 31 December 2020 (inclusive) and is being provided as emergency support funding in response to the immediate pressures created by Covid-19. This application deadline for the funding closes on 1st July 2020.
However, since the original announcement, the Home Office has recently committed a further £85,000 to be made available for more small and micro charities in Greater Manchester to apply for the funding.
To be eligible for this funding, you must be either a registered charity, charitable incorporated organisation or a social enterprise (including companies limited by guarantee and community interest companies).
You will also need to provide evidence that your organisation is experiencing:
immediate financial hardship,
significantly increased demand, or
an urgent need to adapt services to meet Covid-19 associated measures (e.g. social distancing).
Please return your completed application to Jason Grant (Jason.email@example.com) by 12pm on Friday 18th September 2020.
Applications received after this time will not be considered. In addition to this template, please provide evidence that your organisation’s income is less than £100,000k per annum.
