The Role of Communities and Connections in Social Welfare (Legal) Advice

This short briefing is part of a research project that is looking at how people from different localities and communities access social welfare (legal) advice, funded by the British Academy and Nuffield Foundation.

In November 2022, the research team held a workshop in Rochdale with a range of organisations to better understand how they provide information and advice, how they connect people to advice, and how they connect with each other and the community. This briefing reflects the perceptions of workshop participants.
