Stimulating Demand for Apprenticeships

Resources  ♦  Case studies

GMCVO’s Stimulating Demand for Apprenticeships project ended in October 2015 and proved very successful in raising the voluntary sector’s awareness of the advantages of apprenticeships.

Throughout 2015 we actively sought to disseminate information to third sector SMEs on how employing an apprentice has wide-reaching benefits and also how this engagement from third sector SMEs could play a crucial role in terms of social responsibility and opportunity for all.

We held two events which were tailored to the culture and interests of third sector SMEs around apprenticeships and enabled us to gauge the need of those third sector employers. They were a great opportunity to share success stories, case studies, engage with apprenticeship providers and discuss funding grants that are available.

We also produced a guide (attached) and we will continue to provide links to relevant news and policy updates around the subject.
